As a Security Professional - Access Control Specialist in San Mateo, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will be the first point of contact at the location, providing a welcoming presence and delivering exceptional customer service. You will manage access control, monitor visitor entry, and respond to inquiries with professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and adhering to site-specific policies at the front desk.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor visitor and employee access at the front desk, helping to deter unauthorized entry.
• Assist with emergency response activities as needed, following Allied Universal and site protocols.
• Maintain a professional presence at the front desk, greeting and assisting guests and/or employees.
• Document and report security-related incidents or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Coordinate with Allied Universal management and/or client representatives in the event of emergencies or escalated incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
