Job Description


As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver CRE in Bloomington, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed professional with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence at a commercial real estate location. You will monitor assigned areas, assist with access control, and provide support to staff and visitors through strong communication and customer service. This position is a driving post and requires a valid driver's license in the job state. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences within the commercial real estate environment.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and maintaining logs as required by site policies.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management, local authorities, and/or emergency personnel as situations require.
  • Document all activities, incidents, and observations in detailed reports as required by site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
