As a Security Professional - Armed Patrol Industrial in Rocky Mount, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas while remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including both interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or incidents.
  • Monitor access points and check credentials to help to deter unauthorized entry onto the premises.
  • Observe and report any irregularities or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel or Allied Universal management.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of activities, incidents, and patrols as required by site procedures.
  • Communicate clearly with team members, site staff, and local law enforcement as needed during incidents and/or emergencies.
  • Remain alert to any unusual conditions or activities within the location and respond according to established protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduation from a law enforcement or military police training program or an equivalent is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
