As a Security Professional - Armed Government Security PT in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. You will perform routine patrols, remain visible throughout the area, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by performing security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when necessary.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to assist clients and visitors at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the grounds and perimeter of the government facility to help to deter unauthorized activity and monitor for potential issues.
  • Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns, documenting incidents and escalating as appropriate.
  • Assist in controlling access to restricted areas within the location by verifying identification and/or credentials.
  • Work collaboratively with law enforcement and emergency response personnel if needed, following established protocols.
  • Remain alert to changing situations and respond appropriately, prioritizing customer service and professionalism at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
