As a Security Officer - Flex Access Control in Castle Dale, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer specializing in access control at a utility location, you will monitor entrances, check credentials, and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while providing excellent customer service and clear communication to all visitors and staff. This is a driving post, so you will also be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your daily duties. What You'll Do:

  • Control access to the utilities facility by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors, following established site-specific procedures.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and security-related equipment to help to deter unauthorized access and suspicious activity.
  • Provide customer service to all personnel and guests by addressing inquiries and assisting with directions or site policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response protocols as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to observe for security-related concerns and/or irregularities.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, irregularities, and maintenance issues according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Collaborate with site management and law enforcement as necessary during incidents or emergency situations.
  • Remain alert and maintain a professional presence while on post to help to deter security-related risks at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
