What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by supporting security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
• Respond calmly and use problem-solving skills during incidents and critical situations within the retail environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any security-related issues or irregularities encountered during patrols.
• Assist with access control and monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Communicate with management, law enforcement, and/or emergency personnel when required.
• Maintain detailed logs and reports of security-related activities and incidents encountered on-site.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid New York State security guard license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
