Job Description


As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Team in Van Nuys, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a busy healthcare location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the facility. Your role is essential in providing a welcoming and reassuring atmosphere for patients, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the healthcare location, responding to situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting staff, patients, and visitors as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and surrounding areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any potential concerns.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification, and controlling visitor flow within the facility.
  • Observe for and report any suspicious activity or security-related hazards, communicating findings to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support emergency response activities, including alerting first responders, guiding individuals, and following established protocols for healthcare environments.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of security-related activities, incidents, and observations during each shift.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
