Job Description


As a Security Professional - Telecom Dispatch Operations in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Dispatch Officer in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will play a key role in monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, managing access control, responding to alarms, and providing exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Monitor and manage incoming calls, alarms, and communications to coordinate security-related response and dispatch personnel as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating clearly with all relevant parties.
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports of all activities, incidents, and dispatches during the shift.
  • Operate and monitor access control systems, surveillance equipment, and other security-related technology to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Work collaboratively with on-site personnel, law enforcement, and/or emergency responders as required by the situation.
  • Conduct regular status checks of security-related systems and equipment to confirm proper operation within the location.
  • Assist with the implementation of site-specific emergency protocols and provide information to clients and team members during incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
