As a Security Officer – Tech Media Patrol Driver in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Officer at a leading technology location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the site. Your responsibilities include monitoring access points, assisting with badge verification, and delivering outstanding customer service to employees and visitors. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the technology and media location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity. Working environments and conditions may vary depending on the specific site.
  • Maintain detailed records and logs of security-related activities and observations as required by site protocols.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and onsite personnel to address security-related concerns and support the site’s daily operations.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, potential threats, or hazards to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
