As a Security Officer – Unarmed Patrol Driver – Telecom in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Officer in a dynamic tech and media environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence for all visitors and staff. This is a driving position and you will be responsible for conducting routine patrols throughout the location, supporting access control, and responding to requests for assistance. What You'll Do:

  • Provide excellent customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.
  • Document observations and/or incidents according to established protocols to assist in maintaining accurate records for the location.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal team members and client staff to support a secure and welcoming environment for all occupants and visitors.
  • Remain alert and attentive to surroundings, identifying and reporting any security-related concerns or unusual activities in the location.
  • Follow all site-specific instructions and protocols, adapting to changes in technology and processes as required in a technology-focused environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
