As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Winston Salem, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and managing entry to financial institution locations. What You'll Do:

  • Support access control procedures by monitoring the entry and exit of authorized individuals at the location.
  • Assist in verifying identification and credentials of employees, visitors, and vendors as required by site-specific policies.
  • Help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity through attentive observation and reporting.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter, adapting to the specific needs of the financial institution environment.
  • Provide customer service by responding to client inquiries and assisting with directions or information as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Document and report any unusual circumstances, security-related incidents, or maintenance issues according to Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Collaborate with site management and other Allied Universal personnel to maintain a professional and welcoming atmosphere.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or General Education Diploma is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
