Job Description


As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver Chemical Plant in El Paso, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a leading chemical and petrochemical location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents through routine patrols and visible presence. You will interact with employees and visitors, delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication as part of our agile and reliable team. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm and problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of those on site.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for any unusual conditions, recognizing that the location involves sensitive chemical or petrochemical operations.
  • Monitor for and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or emergencies within the location to the appropriate Allied Universal contacts and/or site management.
  • Support access control procedures for personnel and vehicles entering and exiting the property, helping to maintain secure operations in line with location-specific requirements.
  • Work in environments that may involve exposure to chemicals or specialized equipment, observing all site protocols and reporting concerns to the appropriate channels.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
