As a Security Officer - Armed Flex Patrol in East St. Louis, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and observe for unusual conditions.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the government property to help promote a secure environment for all staff and visitors.
  • Monitor and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as required during incidents or emergencies.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding all incidents, observations, and activities during assigned shifts.
  • Carry and maintain control over assigned firearms and other security-related equipment in accordance with company policy and state regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
