Job Description


As a Security Professional - Armed Patrol Driver Role in Bloomington, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a premier commercial real estate location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for all occupants. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible throughout the property, and deliver outstanding customer service while upholding our values of reliability, teamwork, and integrity. This position requires both an armed guard card and a valid driver's license, reflecting the importance of both security-related and driving responsibilities as you represent Allied Universal's commitment to a caring and innovative workplace.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the commercial real estate location and its perimeter to observe for potential hazards and help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry or suspicious activity.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with tenants, visitors, and staff to address security-related concerns and provide assistance.
  • Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergency situations, including medical, fire, or other incidents, following established procedures.
  • Operate and maintain assigned security equipment, including firearms, in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
