As a Security Officer - Access Control Gatekeeper in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining strong communication with everyone onsite. Driving responsibilities are part of this role, so a valid driver's license is required. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting as part of security-related procedures.
  • Provide customer service while following site-specific policies and procedures related to access control.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access or activity.
  • Support emergency response activities as needed, following established protocols for the location.
  • Maintain accurate records of access control activities and incident reports, as required by Allied Universal.
  • Communicate security-related information and concerns to appropriate personnel and/or law enforcement as directed.
  • Adapt to varying working environments and conditions as dictated by the needs of the location in the tech, media, and telecom sector.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
