Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a State Facility in Boston MA

Monday - Friday 10 AM - 6 PM

Starting Pay is $21.50 Per Hour / Paid Orientation / Paid Training / Opportunity For Advancement

 


As a Security Officer - Government Perimeter Patrol in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional assigned to a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure environment for all occupants. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. You'll play a key role in upholding the values of reliability, integrity, and teamwork as you support those at the site and contribute to a positive atmosphere. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and support a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities or potential hazards found during patrols to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry points and verifying credentials as required by site policies.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including directing individuals and providing guidance during incidents.
  • Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal and the site.
  • Provide visible presence and customer assistance to visitors, staff, and/or contractors within the government property.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
