As a Security Officer - Armed Utilities Patrol Driver in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for conducting routine patrols at a utilities location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. This role requires carrying a firearm and operating a vehicle, combining strong observation with excellent customer service and communication skills. You will play a crucial role in supporting a secure environment for our client's facilities. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and performing emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for any unusual activity or potential threats within the location, reporting observations according to established protocols.
  • Maintain visibility as an armed presence at the location, in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, site personnel, and emergency responders as required.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Uphold professional standards at all times while representing Allied Universal at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.

  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
