Job Description


As a Security Officer - Residential Center - Full Time in Boca Raton, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a residential setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help create a secure environment for residents and guests. Your presence and attention to detail will help to deter unwanted incidents, while your strong customer service skills will contribute to positive daily interactions. You will use technology and collaborate with your team to support a welcoming community, reflecting our values of agility, reliability, and integrity. What You'll Do:

  • Control access to the residential location by verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized individuals.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity to Allied Universal management and/or local authorities as appropriate.
  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and guests while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client site protocols.
  • Remain alert and observant throughout the shift to support a secure and welcoming environment for all residents and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
