As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a visible presence. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and protocols relevant to a healthcare environment, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism in all interactions within the healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues, with attention to the unique needs and sensitivities of a healthcare setting.
  • Monitor access points and observe for any suspicious activity, reporting and documenting any irregularities according to established protocols.
  • Maintain a visible and approachable presence throughout the location to assist staff, patients, and visitors with security-related concerns.
  • Handle and carry authorized weapons in accordance with all local, state, and company regulations, ensuring proper use in all situations as required by the post profile.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and local authorities when necessary to support a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Experience using handcuffs, pepper spray, or a baton is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
