Job Description


As a Security Professional - Armed Healthcare Patrol Driver in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the facility. Your responsibilities include monitoring assigned areas, responding to incidents, and delivering exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities in a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, addressing the needs of patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or hazardous conditions to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control, verifying identification of individuals entering restricted areas as required by site policies.
  • Support Allied Universal and client staff in upholding site-specific rules, protocols, and procedures relevant to the healthcare setting.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of daily activities, incidents, and irregularities encountered during patrols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • At least six months of experience in armed security, law enforcement, and/or military is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
