Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Government Site in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, maintaining a strong and visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This role involves conducting regular patrols, responding to incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to all visitors and staff. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including those that may require an armed response.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report suspicious activity.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and patrol activities.
  • Interact professionally with the public, law enforcement, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Follow all assigned protocols for handling and securing firearms while on duty.
  • Assist with crowd control and/or access control during peak times or special events, as directed by site procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of site-specific risks and respond in accordance with Allied Universal training and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
