As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol - Full Time in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and building a reassuring presence for all. In this armed post, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help prevent incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to everyone onsite. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues.
  • Monitor and report any suspicious activities and/or potential hazards within the premises.
  • Maintain high visibility throughout the location to help to deter unwanted activity and foster a positive presence.
  • Interact professionally with the public and/or personnel present at the location.
  • Document and communicate observations, incidents, and/or issues as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearm in accordance with local regulations and Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Baton certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
