As a Security Officer - Armed Flex Telecom Patrol in Fort Worth, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Armed Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence at a dynamic tech and media location. You will be responsible for monitoring assigned areas, supporting access control, and engaging with employees and visitors to provide exceptional customer service. In this armed role, your commitment to teamwork, integrity, and reliability will contribute to a secure environment while fostering positive interactions throughout your shift.

What You'll Do:

  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal.
  • Provide customer service by assisting clients, visitors, and/or employees in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and restrict entry to authorized personnel only, in accordance with location requirements.
  • Complete detailed reports and documentation of all security-related incidents and observations during assigned shift.
  • Communicate clearly with Allied Universal management and/or local law enforcement as necessary during emergencies or incidents.
  • Support emergency response activities as required by site procedures and Allied Universal protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • An active Department of Defense Secret Clearance is required.
  • Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas only.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
