Job Description


As a Security Officer - Healthcare Front Desk in Morristown, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a healthcare location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, staff, and patients. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry points, checking credentials, and providing a welcoming presence while helping to deter security-related incidents through visible presence and attentive customer service. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment by communicating with guests and responding promptly to inquiries. What You'll Do:

  • Welcome and assist visitors, patients, and staff at the front desk to provide a positive customer experience while following security-related procedures and site-specific protocols.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials to help to deter unauthorized entry into the healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of daily activities, visitor check-ins, and occurrences at the front desk.
  • Communicate promptly with site personnel and Allied Universal management regarding security-related concerns or unusual activities.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, following established procedures for the healthcare environment.
  • Answer phones and direct calls or inquiries to the appropriate personnel as part of front desk responsibilities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of two years of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
