Job Description


As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in Greensboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a retail environment, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind for employees and customers. This is a driving post, where you will conduct routine patrols throughout the location, deliver outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly with all visitors and staff. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with resolution as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and provide a visible presence.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity or potential hazards while on patrol, reporting findings to the appropriate personnel.
  • Interact professionally with visitors, guests, and employees, offering assistance and information as needed.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on observations, incidents, and/or activities as required by Allied Universal and the site.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and/or site management when necessary during incidents or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
