As a Security Officer - Distribution Entry Screener in Ladson, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a welcoming presence. What You'll Do:

  • Conduct screening procedures for individuals and/or packages entering the logistics and distribution location to help to deter prohibited items from entering the premises.
  • Follow site-specific policies and security-related procedures as directed by Allied Universal and the client site.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and assisting visitors, employees, and/or contractors as they enter and exit the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues to appropriate personnel as necessary.
  • Document and report any irregularities, suspicious activities, or security-related concerns to the appropriate parties.
  • Work collaboratively with site staff and Allied Universal team members to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a secure environment.
  • Remain alert to surroundings in the logistics and distribution location, identifying potential security-related risks and taking appropriate action as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
