Job Description


As a Security Officer - Access Control Industrial in Dahlonega, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling manufacturing and industrial location, you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment by managing access points and monitoring activity. Your duties will include conducting routine patrols, monitoring badge systems, and providing excellent customer service while remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will utilize technology such as alarm panels and computer systems to assist with daily operations. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access to designated entry and exit points at the manufacturing and industrial location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors.
  • Support Allied Universal and client policies by following site-specific access control procedures and guidelines.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or unusual behavior at access points to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Respond in a calm, problem-solving manner to incidents and critical situations involving access control.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around entry and exit areas, as well as the facility perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Maintain accurate logs of visitor and contractor access, and report any discrepancies or security-related incidents.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees and visitors with access-related inquiries and directions according to site protocols.
  • Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal team members to support emergency response activities as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
