Job Description


As a Security Professional - Shelter Patrol in Sacramento, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, Shelter, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and promote peace of mind for residents and guests within residential and shelter locations. You will monitor assigned areas through routine patrols, maintain a strong and supportive presence, and provide exceptional customer service through clear communication and a caring attitude. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and residents by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Help to deter unauthorized activity and provide a visible security-related presence throughout residential and shelter locations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as necessary to the appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the property and perimeter to observe and report on conditions, activities, and potential concerns within the residential and shelter environments.
  • Complete reports and logs documenting observations, incidents, and activities during assigned shifts.
  • Work collaboratively with residents, staff, and visitors to address questions and/or concerns while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures as outlined by Allied Universal and client-specific guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
