Job Description


As a Security Officer - Residential Entry Control Driver in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a prestigious residential location, you will monitor entrances and exits, conduct routine patrols, and provide a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Your role includes maintaining access control, assisting residents and guests, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including access control activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or potential security-related incidents within the residential community.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and its perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and/or security-related concerns.
  • Document all incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with property management and local law enforcement when appropriate, supporting emergency response activities.
  • Maintain a professional presence and represent Allied Universal while interacting with residents and guests.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
