As a Security Officer - Retail Unarmed Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations to help create a secure environment for shoppers and staff. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service and communication. You will conduct routine patrols throughout the premises, addressing concerns and assisting visitors as needed. Working within our caring and agile team, you will contribute to a positive experience and uphold our values of integrity and reliability in every interaction.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior or activity to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist visitors and employees as needed, offering directions and general support relevant to security-related matters.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activities within the location.
• Complete required reports and logs regarding incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities as directed by Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
