As a Security Officer – Hospital Unarmed Patrol Agent in Pittsburgh, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and foster a welcoming environment. Your visible presence will be key in providing exceptional customer service, supporting hospital operations, and maintaining peace of mind for patients, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to those at the healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism within the healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and provide a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Observe and report on any security-related issues, hazards, or incidents encountered during patrols or during interactions with personnel, patients, and visitors.
  • Follow all site-specific protocols and instructions provided by Allied Universal and healthcare facility management.
  • Assist in controlling access to various areas within the healthcare facility as required, checking identification and monitoring entry points.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal supervisors, healthcare staff, and/or emergency responders as situations arise.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have vaccines required for hospital employment.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to assist with restraining individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
