As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through routine patrols and a visible presence. You will interact with guests, offer exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with both visitors and team members. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to observe and report any suspicious behavior or hazards.
• Monitor public areas and/or common spaces to help to deter theft, disturbances, or unauthorized activity.
• Document and report any incidents, security-related concerns, or maintenance issues according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Assist with access control by observing entrances and exits and verifying credentials where necessary.
• Support law enforcement or emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
