As a Security Professional - Mall Foot Patrol in Glendale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic retail and mall environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure and welcoming atmosphere for guests and staff. By conducting regular patrols and maintaining a visible presence, you will help to deter security-related incidents while delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the well-being of clients, visitors, and staff.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify any potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and provide assistance as needed.
  • Offer directions and assistance to visitors and customers in a professional manner.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences observed during patrols.
  • Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and location staff to address concerns and provide a welcoming environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience is required.
  • Graduation from a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent is required.
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A security-related guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
