As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, supporting a secure environment for all. What You'll Do:

  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as instructed by Allied Universal, providing customer service to all visitors and staff at the government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and sound judgment appropriate to an armed patrol role.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols both within the premises and along the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to maintain a visible presence.
  • Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, following established protocols and communication channels.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel or law enforcement as needed.
  • Interact professionally with visitors, employees, and/or other personnel while maintaining a courteous and approachable demeanor.
  • Comply with all Allied Universal and client-specific requirements regarding the handling and use of firearms during assigned duties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
