Job Description


As a Security Professional - Armed Manufacturing Patrol Driver in Independence, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. This role requires you to be armed and involves driving responsibilities, providing a dynamic work environment where your presence and professionalism contribute to a secure atmosphere. You will also deliver outstanding customer service and communication, embodying Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity while working collaboratively with your team.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including both the business premises and the perimeter.
  • Monitor for potential security-related concerns, helping to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity within the facility and surrounding areas.
  • Document and report any incidents, hazards, and/or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Maintain awareness of site-specific protocols relevant to a manufacturing and industrial environment, including any special requirements for armed personnel.
  • Interact with employees, visitors, and contractors to provide assistance, directions, and to support a secure workplace atmosphere.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security experience or possess a college degree.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • An active Department of Defense Secret Clearance is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
