Job Description


As a Security Professional - CRE Patrol Driver in Nottingham, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic commercial real estate location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing outstanding customer service. This is a driving position where you will conduct regular mobile patrols, remain visible, and respond to various situations as they arise. You will interact with tenants and visitors, assisting with inquiries while upholding our values of agility, reliability, innovation, and teamwork. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate property and its perimeter, adapting to varying work environments and conditions as required by the location.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or potential hazards to assist with maintaining a secure atmosphere on-site.
  • Document all security-related activities, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal's standards and client requirements.
  • Assist in controlling access to the property and help to deter unauthorized entry or suspicious behavior through visible patrols and presence.
  • Collaborate with property management, visitors, and other personnel to address concerns and provide a welcoming experience at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Experience with driving-focused posts is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
