As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrols in Fayetteville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol healthcare locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and responding to situations as they arise. In this armed role, you will remain visible throughout your assigned areas while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication to staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible presence.
  • Monitor and control access points within the location to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Identify and report security-related risks, hazards, or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
  • Operate and maintain proficiency with assigned arms or defensive equipment in accordance with site-specific requirements and Allied Universal policies.
  • Assist medical staff, visitors, and/or patients with directions and general information as needed during patrols.
  • Document incidents and complete required reports in a timely and thorough manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
