As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Full-Time in Short Hills, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence in a high-end retail location. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, taking appropriate action based on the situation encountered.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings within the retail and/or mall environment and communicate any observed issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Work closely with Allied Universal management and site contacts to support a secure and welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and shoppers.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
