Job Description


As a Security Officer - Patrol Team in Lewiston Woodville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading food and beverage location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. Your visible presence and commitment to exceptional customer service will contribute to a welcoming and secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, assist with access control, and interact with employees and visitors, all while representing Allied Universal’s values of integrity, teamwork, and a people-first culture. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including the business interior and perimeter, to help to deter security-related risks and observe for unusual activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any observations.
  • Document and report incidents, irregularities, or any unusual conditions to Allied Universal management and the site contact.
  • Support emergency response activities, including guiding employees and visitors during drills or real emergencies, in accordance with site policies.
  • Maintain visibility throughout assigned areas to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
