As a Security Professional - Distribution Access Control in Harrisonburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, manage visitor and employee access, and conduct routine patrols of assigned areas. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies for access control within a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entrances and exits, verifying credentials and granting access only to authorized individuals, vehicles, and/or materials.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, reporting any irregularities as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Document observations, incidents, and/or unusual activities according to Allied Universal protocols and client requirements.
• Assist with emergency response activities as needed, coordinating with site management and local authorities when appropriate.
• Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and/or contractors, providing information and directions as necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
