Job Description


As a Unarmed Security Guard - Access Control in Beaumont, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Security Professional focused on Access Control in a chemical and petrochemical location, you will play a key role in monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. Your presence will support a secure environment for staff and visitors while delivering exceptional customer service. This post requires driving in accordance with Allied Universal's driver policy. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access to the location by verifying credentials and authorizations for employees, contractors, and visitors, in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Provide customer service by assisting individuals entering or exiting the premises and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for any security-related incidents.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious activities to the appropriate personnel and Allied Universal management.
  • Support emergency response activities at the location as required, following site-specific plans and instructions.
  • Work collaboratively with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure environment in the chemical and petrochemical setting.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or General Education Development is required by the client.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
