As a Security Professional - Access Control Driver in Point Comfort, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As an Access Control Officer at a leading chemical and petrochemical location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, verifying credentials, and maintaining a visible presence. This is a driving post, so you will need to operate a vehicle as part of your duties. What You'll Do:

  • Control access to the location by verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized individuals only.
  • Monitor and operate security-related equipment to identify and report any unusual activity or potential hazards within the facility.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols both inside the business and along the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious behavior.
  • Respond in a calm, problem-solving manner to incidents and critical situations as they arise, following established protocols.
  • Provide customer service by addressing questions or concerns from visitors and employees in a professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of incidents, access control activities, and any observations relevant to operations.
  • Follow all site-specific policies and procedures, including those related to handling hazardous materials, as appropriate for a chemical and petrochemical environment.
  • Participate in emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
