Job Description


As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver - Aero/Defense in Savannah, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within an aerospace and defense location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment. Your presence will help foster confidence among staff and visitors as you conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and provide outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, so you will operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. What You'll Do:

  • Provide high-quality customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies for an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report irregularities.
  • Communicate observations and incidents to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives in accordance with site protocols.
  • Document activities and observations during patrols and report security-related matters as required.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned location to help to deter unwanted activity.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Applicants must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Applicants must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
