Job Description


As a Security Guard - Distribution Patrol Driver in Wichita, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine vehicle and foot patrols throughout the premises. You will remain highly visible, support access control measures, and provide outstanding customer service to everyone onsite. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver's license. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
  • Observe and report any suspicious behaviors, hazards, or incidents as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Support access control processes, including verifying credentials of individuals entering and/or exiting the premises.
  • Assist with maintaining order and protecting property by helping to deter theft, trespassing, and other unwanted activities.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or delivery personnel as part of daily security-related operations.
  • Complete all required reports and logs in a timely and accurate manner as directed by Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
