As a Security Officer - Flex Patrol Driver in McPherson, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As an Allied Universal Security Professional, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and providing exceptional customer service in a chemical and petrochemical environment. Your responsibilities include access control, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to promote a secure atmosphere for everyone on site. This is a driving post, so you will be required to operate a vehicle as part of your duties. What You'll Do:

  • Control access to the location by verifying credentials and/or identification of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activities.
  • Follow site-specific policies and procedures as directed by Allied Universal and the client for a chemical and petrochemical environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to observe for irregularities and/or hazards.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner according to established protocols.
  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by addressing questions and/or directing them as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least six months of security-related experience is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
