As a Security Guard - Armed Retail Patrol - Part Time in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an armed patrol officer in a dynamic retail environment, you will conduct regular patrols throughout the location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence for customers and staff. This position requires carrying a firearm and driving as part of your responsibilities. You will interact with the public, respond to situations as they arise, and deliver exceptional customer service, all while upholding Allied Universal's values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while armed, following all applicable protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas within the retail environment to help to deter theft and other unwanted activity.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and interactions according to company and client procedures.
  • Collaborate with retail staff and/or law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Level III armed certification is required for Texas.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
