As a Security Guard - Armed Government Patrols Part-Time in Queens, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer serving a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents while providing a visible presence. Your role will include conducting routine patrols and engaging with others to deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Armed responsibilities are a core aspect of this position. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, checking for unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Communicate and collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as required by the situation.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, patrols, and other activities during the shift.
  • Follow all protocols for the handling, carrying, and storage of firearms in accordance with Allied Universal and client-specific guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • A law enforcement officer license is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
