Job Description


As a Security Professional - Residential Grounds Patrol in COLLEGE PARK, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a residential location, you will monitor and conduct regular patrols throughout the property, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will engage with residents and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations throughout the residential location in a calm and problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential property and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities, hazards or maintenance issues encountered during patrols to Allied Universal management and/or site contacts.
  • Support access control by monitoring entry points and screening individuals as required by site policies.
  • Assist residents and visitors with directions, information, and general inquiries while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Work collaboratively with other Allied Universal personnel and site contacts to address concerns and support a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
