As a Security Officer - Government Center Patrol - Full Time in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, interacting with individuals on site, and providing exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the government location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and support a sense of security for the premises.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and public spaces to observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity.
  • Document all incidents, observations, and security-related activities according to site procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Collaborate with site staff and law enforcement as needed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to provide customer service and help to deter inappropriate activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
