Job Description


As a Security Officer - Commercial Real Estate Patrol in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming environment. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols and providing exceptional customer service to all guests and visitors. You will play a key role in supporting a secure atmosphere, utilizing strong communication skills and a professional presence. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial property and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and monitor for any concerns.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or incidents in accordance with company and client protocols.
  • Collaborate with property management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related matters as needed.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, exits, and authorized areas within the location.
  • Support emergency response efforts as directed, following established procedures and communicating with appropriate authorities when necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
